Hi,
I don't know which family that Sarah A. Fannin is from.
Mine was born 1826.

My theory on Benjamin and Averilla & Laughlin & Susannah IS speculation, but I did a lot of research to back it up. In Tallapoosa, Al census' with Susannah Downer Fannin-1860?(I'd have to look) -it shows her there, her husband is'nt there... and she has at least two sons of Benjamin and Averilla with her, as well as her children.Laughlin Jr & Sarah McLane are her neighbors.

The Laughlin Jr is born in the same place as Sarah w/in a couple years.(Atlanta,Ga area)This is where Laughlin and Susannah Downer Fannin live at the same time. The ages of the children do match for Sarah and Laughlin on the census.

Laughlin Sr, Susannah,Sarah Fannin McLane & Laughlin Jr all end up as neighbors in Tallapoosa County, Alabama.
They are traveling together. (Per census) Don't forget to check the 1855 Alabama census.

I'm not saying I'm right, but I believe I am.These people are traveling to the same areas with their families at the same times. They are naming their children after each other.

It is easy for children to miss a census because of birth date & or they are living at a relatives house.

Just have an open mind, check the census' and cross reference and you will see. They are either parent child or Aunt/Uncle/ and niece/nephew. I think it's parent child.

Anyone else doing this line, and Tom too. If you find any goodies, let me know!
