I'm confused about William born ca 1797. I assume you are referring to the William FANNIN who married Jane PENIX. I have seen some research showing him s/o John, but most of them show him s/o Bryant - Achilles - Bryant of Amelia Co. This seems more logical as he came into Kentucky as others did of that line. I know this is getting away from your objective and apologize for the interruption. If you have any info to clear it up, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
