Are you sure Benoni's line and Bryant Sr/John Sr's line match? It doesn't appear that he has the same exact haplo group as the other two line do. Out of 12 markers, he only matches on 5 markers. If you take out the 3 faster mutating markers, he matches 4 of 9. My Fanning line old researchers always said our line went back to Benoni, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Trying to get a haplo group from a descendent of Middleton's as he did the test with a different company. With the marker info he sent me, it appears that minus the 3 faster mutating genes (two of which weren't done by the other company), his and Benoni's descendent match on 8 of 9 markers. Do we have another distinct Fanning line? And guess you have noticed a Keltner line has appeared on the Fanning dna results page. Since I am a Fanning/Keltner researcher, that was startling news when it was first posted on the Keltner GenForum board a couple of weeks ago. Have been looking for Absoleum's correct parents ever since and now have an educated guess as to who they were. They are still Keltners, only it is the maternal line, not the paternal line. The first year of the dna project was exciting. But look at how AWESOME the second has begun. Again and again, many thanks to all the male Fannings that chose to be a part of the dna project. It wouldn't exist without you. TO ALL THE MALE FANNINGS, PLEASE COME JOIN US IN THIS WONDERFUL DNA PROJECT. Notify Administrator about this message?
