Dora Daniels Fogle had two children. Court records of the adoption of the two children indicate that Dora was deceased by 1915. The adoptions occured in 1915 (Celesta Mae Fogle) and 1916 (George Raymond Fogle). I have a complete list of her descendants and photographs of most.

The couple who adopted Celesta and George had no children of their own. By my work to this point, I believe my family to be the only descendants of Dora Daniels.

Dora's biological sister, Alleta (Daniels) Feirl, remained in contact with Dora's children well into their adult lives. It is possible that some of Alleta Feirl's descendants may have some information. I have not yet attempted to contact them.

Last, there is a possibility that the descendants of Andrew J. Daniels and Alice Johnson might have some records. I have not yet attempted to contact them.

Please express my thanks to your lookup volunteers, as well. Regarding the data they collected, I maintain an account on another genealogy service, and have a 'test tree', kept private, on that service. On the private tree, I had run up 'Calista Fannin' as A.J. Daniels' first wife, and estimated their marriage date to be 1884, based on Census records, all as a research test. Is there any possibility the volunteers might have run across my tentative work and reported it? I would be unfortunate if I caused a feedback loop; I hope I did not.

Mr. Sayre, we seem to be approaching the point where a more complete exchange of information is needed. I am concerned about the propriety of a public exchange which includes an adoption. My experience with genealogical research is counted in months, not years, so my concern is based on lack of knowledge of the appropriate protections. Your comments on this aspect are welcome. Thank you for your contributions to the discussion.
