A DNA Project for Fanning, Fannin, and Fannon surname is underway and I am looking for male participants with the Fanning (all spellings) surname. The project uses the Y-chromosome test. The Y-chromosome is passed from father to son for generations. If you have spent any time researching your Fanning family history, you have probably reached a point where you cannot identify earlier ancestors. Perhaps you have documented 3 generations, or 6, or 8. But, at some point the Fanning trail grows cold. DNA can be a wonderful addition to your research, pointing you in the right direction, connecting you to new researchers and opening new doors. This Fanning DNA Project is intended to help provide additional answers to those questions. DNA testing is not a magic wand that can solve every mystery or answer every question. It is another tool that can complement our search of written and oral records, graveyards, etc. The website for the project is; www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/f/fanning/ Notify Administrator about this message?
