i have a record of Louisa, mostly second hand and credited to Jim Fannin. He reported that she wsa born March 1851 and was the child of William Fannin (1816-1884)and Anna Eunice DAy. This would make her a sister to a Peter Mumpower Fannin (1854-1920), but not the Peter Mumpower (1832-1885) who is the father of Thomas Newton Fannin (1858-1944), father of Paul J. (the govenor). William is a brother to the elder Peter Mumpower and both as children of George Fannin and Mary Magdelene Mumpower. confused enough ?
Second cousin is probaly correct....Paul J is the son of her cousin. Of course, George Fannin is the son of David Fannin and Sarah Sally Day who are in my line.

I have an unsupported marraige date of Jan 21, 1870 for Louisa, probably form Jim Fannin. Also that William Henderson Bowling died in 1902.

Thomas Newton and his children including Paul J. appear to have left Elliot Co. for Ashland in Boyd Co between 1880 and 1890, (many folks seem to be leaving the deep hills about then) and wind up in Arizona before 1920.

Tom Fannin (My line- William W.,John H.,John J. Travis, David,David,Achilles,Bryan)
