Achilles Fannin,Sr. (sometimes spelled Fanning) was married to a woman named Rose (some think Rosannah)maiden name unknown. He was the son of Bryan Fannin, Sr. (Fannen, Fanning)and Elizabeth (Unknown)who lived in Amelia Co.,Va. from the 1730's until Bryan's death in 1765. There are those who claim Bryan's father was named Laughlin Fanning from Co. Tipperary, Ireland. I have yet to see any proof of that statement.
