Dear Cory, In the early 1970's I visited a Fannin man who lived at East Fork, Lawrence Co.,Ky. His home was about a 1/4 of a mile past Rt. 3 and Rt 1496 (East Fork)intersection. There is a newer grocery store at this intersection today. I say all this to tell you that I think his name was George Fannin, but I failed to record it. He was very old at this time. I do remember that on his farm way up on the side of a hill was an isolated grave of a young girl named Laura Fannin. She was the daughter of Bud Fannin. This George Fannin had a paper that he claimed was written by John Fannin,Jr.(who married Margaret Ferguson & Cynthia Skeens Renyolds). The paper had all of the first family's names and dates of birth. He, also, claimed that John Fannin,Jr.was buried in the Stewart/Fannin Cemetery located on the Dixon farm and that John,Jr. wasn't buried too far from his parents, John& Keziah Fannin,Sr. I know this isn't proof, but it may help. Sincerely, Pat Notify Administrator about this message?
