My connection to the Fangers is by way of Christian Fanger (m. Amelia Huth) who came to U.S. from West Prussia around 1877. He was my G.Grandfather. My Grandfather was Otto Siegfried F. They went to Ohio and then ended up in Michigan (Bay County). "Fanger" is more likely to be "Faenger" or "Fenger" than Sanger.
