Nicholas 7 Fancher (Joshua, James, Richard, Richard, William, William) was born in Ephratah NY 10 May 1829 and died in Fulton Co NY 4 Nov. 1904. Nicholas was the son of Joshua Fancher, b. 28 Feb 1794 in Roxbury, Morris Co., NJ and Hannah Van Loon, b. 18 July 1800 in NY. Nicholas Fancher married in Ephratah, 16 Sept. 1853, to Harriet Eliza Smith, b. 3 Feb 1835 and died 9 July 1910 in Johnstown NY. She was the dau of Peter J. Smith and Madeline Dorn. 9 children, none married to a Caldwell. Neither did any of Nicholas' siblings. I went back as far as the 5th generation, and can't find any Caldwell connections there either.
