Lorrie: I have written a biography of Fearon Fallows, and it contains some details (not many) of his family. Since the book was published I have spent some time looking through the Parish Records of Cockermouth, but I haven't put together a coherent genealogy. I have the impression that the fallows family moved to Cockermouth from somewhere else in the generation before Fearon was born.
The book referred to above is "Royal Observatory, Cape of Good Hope, 1820-1831: The Founding of a Colonial Observatory" and it was published in 1995 by Kluwer Press in Holland.
I made some effort, while doing the research for the book, to find descendants of Fearon Fallows who might have any of his letters or papers, but without success. My book is partly based on many of his letters that are in archives and libraries.
If you come across any material that is not in my book I would be delighted to know about it.

Yours, Brian Warner
