Yesterday, I think I found the parents I was looking for.
1900 census - Holyoke City, Mass - Frances (Francis on all censuses following), b about 1854(depending on which census you look at) married to Mary Ann (Fallon) for 17 years.

Looks like Mary was born about 1855 and that she and her husband immigrated from Ireland - 1900 census shows Francis as coming in 1878 and Mary in 1877, but 1910 census shows them as both coming in 1880, with Francis being Naturalized (states "Pa" in that column).

First living child may have been Ester, although she does not appear on census with them (would have been 16 or so and may already have left the home - her marriage is listed in Mass with Francis J and Mary Fallon as parents). Thomas F is listed with DOB 1884 and birthplace of Pennsylvania.

Other children, Kathrine (my Catherine), Terrance born in Conn, while Mary A, James F and John P all born in Mass.

Any idea where Francis and Mary may have immigrated from, or who their parents might be?
