I am researching my great-great grandfather's family, Bernard Fallon. He shows up on the 1880 census as 28 yrs old; his last name is spelled Fallen; his wife's name is Ellen W. Fallen, age 24; w/ 3 daughters: Anna, age 5; Gertrude 3 (my great-grandmother); and Leretta, age 1. Bernard was born in Maryland, Ella in Washington, DC, and their 3 duaghters were born in Maryland. Bernard, Ella & Gertrude are all buried in the New Cathedral cemetery (AKA Bonnie Brae) in Maryland. Ella's last name is spelled Ella C. Fallon on her death certificate in 1934 A copy of Bernard's death certificate shows that he was buried on July 29,1895 (exact death date is not legible). Also, on the census Bernard stated his father was born in Hesse D and his mother was born in Wurtenberg. This would lead me to believe his parents emigrated from Germany -- possibly through Baltimore?. Ella's maiden name was Clark. Census inforamtion indicates she was born in the District of Columbia; her father Thomas Clark was born in New York; and, her mother's name was Winfred (Winifred) Ward, born in Illinois. Any information on Bernard's or Ella's line is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Helen
