My Great grandfather, Lawrence Fallon, arrived in New York in 1932; he was 3 years old at the time. His father's name was also Lawrence Fallon and his mother was Annie McDermott.
They moved to New Orleans 13 years later where he worked for Phepps and Co., fruit and coffee importers and later Young Lawrence was a private in the Washington Artillery during the Civil War. I can remember my grandfather telling me that he had an Uncle Fallon who fought in the Mexican War.
Perhaps, James Fallon and Catherine Collins were the parents of the elder Fallon.
Good Luck and if you find out more let me know

K. E. Fallon
