Leon Reporter, Leon, Iowa Thursday, August 2, l923 MRS. ELIZABETH A. DETRICK, daughter of P.C. and HARRIET STEWART, was born July 4, l832 (* I copied exactly as written, however I think it should be l852), in Decatur County, Iowa, and died at her home in Eden Township, July l9, l923, at the age of 7l years and l5 days. She was married October 26, l87l, to PHILLIP S. DETRICK, who preceded her in death several years. To this union were born three children: MRS. OLIVE E. FALKENSTEIN, of Lakewood, Wisconsin; GLEN DETRICK, of Leon, Iowa; and MRS. NINA V. ADWERS, of Des Moines. She united with the Brethren Church at Crown Chapel about thirty years ago, and lived a consistent Christian life, always willing to work and sacrifice for her Savior. Funeral services were conducted at the Brethren Church in Leon, Sunday afternoon, by the Pastor, and her remaines were interred in the Leon Cemetery. Many friends extend their sympathy to the bereaved children and other relatives. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ RESOLUTIONS OF RESPECT. Whereas, it has been our Heavenly Father's will to call from our midst our sister, MRS. ELIZABETH A. DETRICK, who was one of the oldest members of our society, and one who was always ready to do what she could. Therefore Be it resolved that we, the members of the Leon Brethren W.M.S. extend to her relatives our heartfelt sympathy in their bereavement, and that a copy of these resolutions be spread on the records, and a copy sent to the Women's Outlook, The Leon Reporter and Decatur County Journal for publication.
