Hi Marilyn,
I just found your posting and wonder if we might have a connection. I am looking for a Wessendorf family from probably Mecklenburg-Vorpommern region of Germany. My great grandmother, Marie S. Wessendorf married Friedrich Daug about 1867 in Germany before they emigrated to New York. They had at least 4 children; August, Hermann, and Anna born in germany. My grandmother was their last child, Emma, born in Hoboken, NJ in 1877. This family remained in Hudson county New Jersey until about WWII, after which I have lost their "trail". Does any of this sound like your family?
