Notes for Lemuel Fales:
In 1881 he was listed as living with his uncle Daniel Fales and was mentioned with his son Harold in Daniel's will. I assumed that according to my calculations he went to live with his uncle when he was 8 or 9 years old and remained there until manhood.

HOMAN, HAZEL ISABEL FALES
HOMAN, Hazel Isabel Fales - 87, Margaretville, died October 10, 1996, in Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Haverhill, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Lemuel A. Fales and Susie Mabel Carey. She was a well-known jewelled egg artist. Her eggs are collected worldwide. She was a lifelong church organist, music director and composer of music and poetry and an originator of Valley Men's Choir. Surviving are daughter, Helen (Mrs. John Sharp), Margaretville; brother, Donald N., Livermore, Calif.; sister, Mrs. Norma Metzler, Reading, Penn.; seven grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, William Walter; sisters, F. Marjorie, Elizabeth; half-brother, Harold A. Memorial service 2 p.m. Friday, October 25 in Margaretville United Baptist Church, Rev. Andrew Porter officiating. Donations to Margaretville United Baptist Church.
