To Paul - PS

Sarah Powell seems to be one and the same as Susannah Bent as the children you list for her are the same as I have for Susannah with Thomas Keith and siblings of Ann Elizabeth/ Larckin Gordon. Could this be a problem of names ... could Susannah's other names be Sarah Powell. Maybe she had married a Powell before Nicholas Bent who seems to have been her cousin which fits the story of her marriage in reaction to Thomas arriving home with a "wife" Catherine. Catherine was believed to have come from the St Catherine area estates and could have been the holder of the bloodline that together with Thomas produced John C the mestee. For some strange reason everyone clams up tight when mention is made of her. Could we dig around here to clarify.

Dorothy's other name must be Abigail for that fits the story and the records. She is the one who with John C produced over a dozen children as the "direct" line.

Yes ... I do remember that Cerf did sell the Queensbury lands to John and for a symbolic sum because there was also talk about Thomas Keith's decline in mismanagment of his affairs and having to sell off some of his coffee lands perhaps to the same sharpster Cerf.

George Ann was not male but female according to my stories and she died shortly after birth. John C therefore was the sole issue of Thomas' official marital status. There must be some reason why this marriage was not registered as there is the clear argument that the reason for the attacks on his life was that if he died then the other illegitimate siblings could inherit ... that as long as he lived they could not.

Dad also mentioned a tomb somewhere in the direction of Alligator Pond and another in the vicinity of Farquhars Beach near the Mineral Springs which was the estate of the Nairn one of Thomas's brothers married.

Roderick told me (whispering in my ear in an open field) so taboo was his message that colour was first introduced into the family via the Jewess that Thomas married. Could Catherine have been Jewish? Could that be why no one will talk about her?

By the way to update the records Roderick was burnt to death by men who ambushed him hear the family homestead in Queensbury during a disturbing asttempt by an employee of his to claim marriage and ownership of the lands. Aunt Berita's dsughter intervened and solve the problem in the courts and sold the land thereafter. She was later ambushed and shot to death.

Roderick had returned home in retirement from as lifetime in England and was systematically robbed of his money and taken advantage of his kindness. I saw him once during this period. He was a tall lanky happy-go-lucky older man with a youthful attitude , easy smile and joke to tell, but a heavy drinker. According to Dad he was the spoilt one of the family as their mother Frances doted on him. He sold his share of the lands to Dad everytime he got s new idea and ofcourse though he never repaid Dad would also buy it again and again. In the end Dad let him return to live out his time at Queensbury which is where he fell among thieves and was murdered.

He has a son somewhere but so far I have not found him. He was once married to a member of the Siddons family who owns the properties adjoining Queensbury. The came to the area after the Falconers and were tanners and Carriage makers by trade. They established themselves alongside the Falconers who were breeders of blooded horses for the military and estates. The area which borders the road up to Malvern is dotted with walnut trees which were planted for the tanning process.

Aunt Berita Falconer Powell, wife of Curley Powell, other brother of Luther Powell, father of Colin Powell has died. She was the last of my father's siblings and lived at Top Hill.

Enid Bent, sister of Rupert Bent, Chief Education Officer during the Colonial & immediate post colonial period, married Tacious Golding and is the mother of Bruce Golding present Prime Minister of Jamaica and Dr. Trevor Golding, Radiology specialist.

Sandrea Falconer, daughter of Carlton Falconer & Gertrude Gordon whose great, great, grandmother was Ann Elizabeth
wife or Larckin Gordon, is now a Senator in the Jamaican Parliament. She has a sister Colleen and a brother who lives
in Canaada.

Lois Fidelis Falconer sister of Glowena and daughter of Rev. Basil Falconer and his wife Gladys Maunsell lives in Coppet Switzerland, an attorney & intellectual she is a retired employee of the UN. Post retirement she has worked with the UNHCR on projects around the world. She is married to Nassau Adams. No children.

Glowena Marie Falconer, lives in Kingston and is a retired
jack of many creative trades such as Painting, art collecting, Journalism, interior decorating, Manufacturing, business and extensive world travel. Has studied and practiced Tibetan Buddhism for the past 12 years.

Rupert Bent Jnr. Guitarist and Airline Pilot with Air Canada and Air Jamaica now lives in Kingston with present wife former Miss Jamaica Cindy Breakspeare. His sister Cherita, intellectual, formerly married to Dr. Norman Girvan now lives in Canada.

Barbara & her sister Joan Falconer are daughters of the Rev. Noel B Falconer deceased rector of the Anglican Church both of whom live in the usa.

Daisy Falconer-Campbell is the sister of Sydney Falconer and lives in Kingston.
Hope this helps update the records and stony line.
