I am intrigued by your book "Falconer of Halkerton", is it still available? The "F" in my name is Falconer and I have paintings and family artefacts mainly from one William Falconer who ran sailing ships to South Africa. The Lloyds register for the barquentine Alexandrina (I have oil painting and ship's bell)had it built in Aberdeen, the bell is dated 1847 and Falconer was first master. My great grandmother was born a Falconer, I would guess around 1860?
