hello Grant,
I am going to tell you an extremely boring story but hopefully you will stay awake to the end. When I was 14 my Gt grandmother died when we went to the funeral we got given all her personal effeets, among which were references to a grave plot in Northwater Cemetary. I harranged my poor father until he took me to this graveyard where the grave read " erected by James Falconer in memory of his father James C Falconer accidently killed at Broomley Craigo 30 July 1917 and his mother Jane W Muckart died at New bigging, Inverkeilor 20 Jan 1936". As you may imagine this was quite fascinating to a 14 year old and I decided to trace my family tree back.Rather than doing it the correct way and starting with myself and following it back I started with this grave stone. I actually have the death certificates which I got copies of, a photocopy of the newspaper story and a photo of the grave. To cut a really long story short I have never been able to connect these Falconers to mine although I have always believed there was a connection. Why else would my Gt Grandmother have had the plot details. If you let me have your postal address I can send you copies of what I have with pleasure. You can e mail me direct at
