The croft at Achlyness is still in the Falconer family. John Falconer, who held the croft was the son of Mary. The confusion over who is John's mother arises because Williamina also had a son called John (b 1874). He was also illegitimate and died in 1902. Would be interested in the most recent findings. The information you have unearthed links in with a lot of family stories.
