You should get in touch with Fausteen Falconer-Wright or Gloria Falconer, who posted messages below under the heading "Falconer of Queensbury."

In 1997 I published a genealogy of the family, which originated in Scotland and had two branches which came to the U.S. in 1684 and about 1705-1710, most of whom spell the name "Faulkner." The book is now out of print.

Basically I can tell you that John Falconer, born about 1718, died 1769, fourth son of David, 4th Lord Falconer of Halkerton (1681-1751) and Katharine Margaret Keith, went to Jamaica in 1746, where he married Frances Nairn, and had a number of children. One of them, Thomas Keith Falconer (born 1761), had a son by an unknown "mestee" (1/8 African) woman, John Craskell Falconer (1798-1875), who acquired Queensbury, married Dorothy Bent (1802-1864), and had 13 children. I traced most of the male lines who lived in Southfield District down to those born as late as about 1920, but I don't see a Harold. Maybe Fausteen can help.
