I hav to update some info, particularly on the Canadian side. Hector emigrated, so did his sister Barbara who I don`t think you traced. She too was on Handa and next time I`ll look out some messages I exchanged with the Canadians and forward them. here are my notes: GENERATION 1 23.6.1740c John Falconer, Latheron, Caithness to William Falconer [siblings? 1. William c 30.5.1757 Latheron and m Janet Gun Jan 1786 Latheron his son William c 6.4.1791; Alexander c 9.3.1760, Latheron to Wm and who m Jenny Bruce Thurso 28.1.1783; Elspet c 2.3.1755 –possibly Effie who m John Thomson at Latheron on ? March 1786] Note however James c 18.3.1741 Latheron, son of James., ; Kathrine m John Donn 6.2.1770 Latheron. Another Wm m Ann Bain 9.7.1760 Latheron. 12.2.1745b Barbara Sutherland, Thurso to John Sutherland [4 August 1766 Kirk Session of Durness authorised distribution of poor money. Donald Mackay was engaged to give 4/6d between Donald Machuiftermacnith and Iye Ganloch (subsequently k/as Iye Morison alias Ganloch) ] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GENERATION 2 15 May 1769c Durness Mary Morison. Father Iye Morison or Ganloch. In 1841 lived at Kinseally (Ceannsalie) on the NW coast of Eddrachilles which was cleared of the tenants for a sheep farm in the mid 1840s. No trace of James or Mary in 1851 census. Their children -6.5.1797c James, Durness [m Janet Mackay 23.1.1834 Eddrachilles] -18.8.1802c Hector, Durness [m Mary Catherine Ross 4.2.1829 Island Handa died Canada] - Barbara [m Donald Lamont [b 1797] 4.1.1827 Island of Handa died 1890 buried New London, Queen, Prince Edward Island, Canada] ? abt 1806 Angus [M Josephine Morrison 18 or 24.2.1830 Eddrachilles, son John c 7.8.1831] emigrated to Canada; numerous descendants of whom more later abt 1807 John b Kylestrome [m Barbara Mackenzie 1.11.1838 Durness died 1894] 11.3.1810c William [m Williamina Mackay, Oldshoremore 20.11.1838] 2.8.1810c Barbara Mackenzie, West Moine, Durness f Alexander or John, m Janet McKenzie ms McKenzie [died 8 am 28.12.1899 aged 89 General Debility”
