And what about past rumors of Native American blood among the Falconberrys back in Kentucky and North Carolina? Jacob's mother was Mary Giles. Her father's line goes back to Oxfordshire, England. But who was her mother, there in colonial North Carolina? There seems tobe no trace or explanation of her identity. Then there was Charity herself; also no trace of her parents or birth record. Hmm... Although Charity's mtDNA U5 is obviously European, there was that Lost Colony in NC, where those colonists disappeared (presumably absorbed by a neighboring Native American tribe (Tuscarora, I think).
