You posted so long ago. I just started reading this today. We have 2 Burtons. Samuel II,b.1838, m. Mary Ann Lea (b.1844) and had Rosalea b. 1864, Sam III b.1872, Harrison b. 1874, and BURTON b. 1876.
Burton married Emma Hoberg (b. 1878) in 1899 {She was the historian of the family then}. Their child was Eleanor b.1902(m. Norbert Gollhardt & had 4 kids: Ronald, James, Carol, and Jerilyn);Samuel III m. Annie Braband (b.1880){She showed me how they tied a corset}They had BURTON (b.1906)and Robert (b.1908). This Burton never married and was too young to own the book.
Do any of these names sound like your family line? We have some of Charlies folks in California, and I just heard from Brent in New Zealand.
