My grandfather Joseph McFarlane Fairley b. 1892 was born in Broxburn, Scotland. His father was Henry Fairley b. 1844 and mother was Margaret. He had a brother Jim who married Elizabeth and went to Australia. Joseph also had sisters Mary, Sarah and Margaret.
Most of the family moved to Canada (initially to Merit BC) with Joseph and his wife Lilias b. 1895 settling in Windsor, Ontario. Joseph and Lilias had two daughters - Margaret and Rose who died in childhood. Their son and my father Henry (Harry) b. 1929 married Lois Cowan and has lived in Windsor, Ontario.
Harry and Lois had four children Grant b. 1958, Brian, b. 1959, John b.1961 and Laura b. 1968 who died at birth.
Grant has four children Douglas (Doug) b. 1985, Elizabeth (Beth) b. 1987, Emma b. 1996 and Scott b. 1998. Grant lives in Mississauga, Ontario.
Brian has one child, Morgan b. 1998 and lives in Edmonton, Alberta.
John lives in Windsor, Ontario.
