I can tell you that: (obituary copied as printed in Lusk paper dated, Feb 15 1912. You can find the discription of his quarter of land on line by searching the Bureau of Land Management records for Niobrara County Wyoming. I just found this by reading a lot of papers, this week, at the Lusk record. If Joe and Fannie had children, none of the relatives had heard of them) Obituary Joseph Fairley was born in Licking County Ohio on Sept 6, 1826. In 1852 he was married to Fannie Lord who died May 1872. Deceased lived in different places in Iowa and Nebraska and in Octomer 1907 came to Converse County Wyoming and filed on a claim in the Pleasent Ridge neighborhood; he made his home on this claim in the summer and in the winter with his great nephew Liel (Willeil) Nicodemus until his deathwhich occured February 3, 1912 The only near relative is a brotherA.E. Fairley who is in the Soldiers Home, Milwaukee, Wis. Two nephews, P. B( Pasley Beecher) and E. A. Bigelow of Harrison (Nebraska) and two grand nephews, L.H. and O.J.(Olin Jay)Nicodemus of Kirtley(Wyoming). The funeral was held Wenesday W.O.W. (Woodsmen of the world)hall by Rev House, the remains being laid to rest in the Pleasent Ridge Cemetery. (Joe always spelled his last name as 'Farely'. Anything in Parenthesis was added by me.)
