Hi Wendy,
You and I descend from the same Fairley lines. In fact, one of your relatives, Geralding Girouard, lives in Minto. Also the Stewart - Amy's family.Amy was my aunt. Most of her children live in Minto.
Here goes with what I have on our line of the Fairleys - John Fairley (no info on him other than believe he came to the Boiestown area in 1834/5.He died before 1851.Believe his widow was Margaret J. MacKnight. His mother may have been a MacWilliams - perhaps Jennet)Margaret was born ca 1775 and died before 1861.
Know children:William M. born ca. 1810 died Dec. 23, 1881 married Aug. 27, 1844 to Jane Bell (dtr to George Bell)She born ca. 1821 died Feb 28, 1895; MY LINE OF DESCENT - Joseph born ca 1819 died 1895 married Aug. 18, 1859 to Jane (Doak) Craig (dtr to William Craig and Mary Coy) (widow of William Doak) she born 1832 died 1895; Robert born 1828/30 married to Elizabeth Fairley (daughter to William Fairley and Mary Bell) Elizabeth born June 28, 1831; YOUR ANCESTORS - David born ca. 1829 died Jan. 18, 1882 married July 28, 1859to Bethany Ann Norrad (dtr to Robert Norrad and Margaret McKeil) born Jan. 6, 1836 died Oct. 27, 1913 of cancer; John born ca. 1822 never married; Margaret born and died in Ireland around 15 years of age ca. 1835
Children of David Fairley and Bethany Ann Norrad:Thomas Alexander born June 19, 1859 died July 24, 1932 married Dec. 28, 1885 to Martha Nettles Rivers; Charles Beniah born May 10, 1861; Arthur Daniel born May 12, 1863 died Feb. 28, 1914 married Dec 25, 1894; Margaret Jane born Mar. 18, 1865 died Feb. 23, 1934 married Mar. 31, 1881 to Leonard A. Palmer (son to Ebenezer Palmer and Ann Collis) born Jan. 1, 1851/53/56; John born Apr. 7, 1870 died Jan. 14, 1945 married Nov. 27, 1901 to Nelly Brown (dtr to Alexander Brown and Annie Jane Doak) born Jan. 5, 1878; Frederick Whitfield born June 3, 1872 died Jan. 3, 1873
Please note that Annie Jane Doak was the daughter of my great grandmother Jane Doak and her first husband William Doak, so you descend through the Craigs and the Coys.
The Coy house built as early as 1795/8 is still standing in Coytown (Upper Gagetown) where the new bridge cross the St. John River.
You also have Parent (French Hugonaut) lines including Mott and weeks. The Parents were Loyalists. The Coys were pre-loyalists.
