Hi Dorothy. I sent Julie a note after she inquired about John Davison Fairless. He is my GGGrandfather via John Fairless/Gratia Pringle, Enest Fairless/Clara Mannering, Norah Fairless/James Rose. She mentioned that you had a lot of information about the family. I have been searching for a number of years for any info on them, but have run into nothing until now. I do have the newspaper article about John D, which was gratiously forwarded to me by someone at the city hall in Sunderland after I made an inquiry. I found them in the 1881 census, but could not find them in the 1891 census. I am going to make an effort to see if I can find them in the 1851 census now that I know a little more.
If you have the ability could you send me a Gedcom file? I would really appreciate it. My husband Dave has a genealogy site with over 6000 names on it, including the Fairless'. http://doldon.tzo.com/GenDoldon/surnames.html The files have not been updated for a while, but they will be in the near future.
Sandra
