Well, Frank, we're now officially family! What a joy that you remember Grampa and Grandma! Me, too; they were wonderful. Grandma passed away in 1958, and Grandpa passed in 1976 just before his 95th birthday. Do you remember their 5 children? Here's a rundown for you, oldest to youngest: Ernest, Jr. died in 1974, Paul (my father) d. 1989, John d. 1984, Barbara is still going strong on the coast of Maine, and Dick d. 1995. All but Uncle Jr. had children, a total of 9 between them. Those 9 have 14 children total, and the enxt generation just keeps growing.
I do have info on the Fairfields going back several generations from Franklin Heath and will be happy to gather it and send to you if you'll give me your address. My husband and I live in Phoenix but are hoping to move back east, closer to the kids and grandkids.
I called Aunt Barb last night and told her of all this; she remembers all sorts of goodies and is glad to know we're corresponding; she sends her best to you!
