I am one of a group working on an official history of the Wisconsin 23rd Regiment . One of our men is William Fairfield. He enlisted August, 1862 at Marcellon, Columbia Co., WI and was living at Lambarton, MN in 1889
This is all the information we have. If you can help us fill in any of our blanks we would be grateful.
The format we are using is as follows: (We have his service record)

Son of (Names of both parents, their dates/place of birth & death & burial: marriage date and
place(s) of residence.

Post-war achievements: Include membership in organizations, offices held, church affiliation, etc.

Burial
