I am looking for the parents of James Moshier b. 7/19/1809, d. 1/24/1877, m. 12/8/1835 to Lois Timpany (b.12/14/1814, d. 2/6/1896)by James Jarman in Greenwich, CT, Fairfield County. James and Lois are buried in Union Cemetary (2nd Congregational Church) Greenwich, CT. They had a 15 acre farm in Greenwich on Cognewag Road. I have contacted the town clerk of Greenwich and they don't have any birth or death information. James may have been born in North Castle (NY) His father was said to have been of Chestnut Ridge(an area of North Castle/Bedford NY. Lois' father was John and she was a Methodist. Their children: Edgar Moshier b. 7/4/1836, d. 8/17/1857, Sarahann Moshier b. 3/23/1838, Mary M. Moshier b.1/21/1840, Leander Moshier b.12/1/1841 d.11/14/1862 * was a soldier in the civil war, William H. Moshier b.8/13/ 1843 d. 9/4/1845, Jane M Moshier b.11/25/1845, Sylvester Moshier b. 1/26/1848 d. 5/15/1851, Harriet E Moshier b.* 4/31*/1850 *recorded on the family register and is not a typo., Samuel A. Moshier b. 9/8/1852, Franklin P. Moshier b.11/15/1854, John T. Moshier *b. 2/25/1857 d. 11/9/1927. This is my greatgrandFather. John T. married Eleanor Dobson. Any clues/help in this search would be most appreciated! My father remembers that the Timpanys lived in the old Mead house which is at the corner of Bible Street in Cos Cob.
