RE: Micajah Fairfax
Saw where Ruth Fairfax had a son named Micajah, and I know there is a Micajah Fairfax listed in the 1800 NC Bladen County census record. Micajah may be an ancestor of mine, but I only know for sure back to Elias Fairfax in Columbus County (which used to be part of Bladen County) b. 1820. His father may have been Needham Fairfax (who was perhaps the son of Micajah). There is also a Walter Fairfax in the 1800 Caswell Co. census. Maybe Micajah was a common name then, but it seems like there might be a connection to Ruth Fairfax (naming her son after her father? grandfather?)...and the years of Ruth's birth make the connection somewhat possible. Hope this helps....

Allen Fairfax
