Howdy Julie,
The only thing I can find out about William Faircloth that lived in Davidson County, Tn. is That William was a son of James Faircloth born 1797 in N.C. and moved to Davidson county in the 1830's. James married Margaret "Peggy" W.--- (also born in N.C.) in 1801. They had at least six children; William, Jesse (1825-1901, Charlotte "Lotte", Sarah, Samuel and an unknown daughter. William married Martha Ann T. Seat in 1843. Jesse married Rebecca Ann Goodrich. Lottie and Samuel never married. James died after 1860 in Davidson County. I seem to remember William in the 1820-50 Census in Davidson County, you may want to check that. Hope that has helped you a little and gives you something to search on.
