I Do not know if I decend from a Faircloth or not, but I am from related families.I decend from a Silas Wood and Nancy Frazier who lived at Gum Pond around Faircloths and a Clavin Wood.Calvin and other first names were shared by these families.I am trying to trace the Wood and Frazier families.I cant find these families before 1850 or 60? in Mitchell Co Ga.I am Creek Indian with a Fed. EC # The Wood line has allways been passed down as Indian from SC. As the Uchee Creek were from SC and Chief Silas Wood served in Richards Co. of Creek Indians 1832-5? and settled near Early Co. Ga. I was asked to research My Wood line. I am not saying the Faircloths were Indian , but I think with the knowledge Mr. Woodham has of the Faircloths he may be able to help me trace this line.My Kierce line is said to be of Cherokee decent from this aera as well, they came from NC.I will probably never find where any Indian decent comes into this line, and as my g. mother was not proud of it it wont bother me if I dont.We are all products of the American experience and should be proud,no matter what race we are.By the way, you,ll spend more money proving your Indian then you,ll get being Indian.
