Howdy John, Thanks for the message about your son-in-law's g-granddad. My great granddad James Henry Faircloth.(b 1826)
You'll notice that his daughter Kate (born 1870's)married a Johnson. Also there was a son Henry (born 1870's)that may have been the your James Henry.
I think James Henry's dad was a James or Turner but I'm having problems finding which one in N.C. There was a Turner and Nancy that had 5 children that lived in
Northhampton County, NC (Married March 3, 1834). Children : Sarah,"James H.",Mary A., Rebecca Jane and "William T."
This James H. served in Company H, 41st Regiment of Virginia Infantry of the Confederate Army. A Williams Turner Faircloth was Chief Justice of the Supreme Court in SC 1875-1900.
We may of had the same great great grandparents. Good Luck and keep me informed. kd4tdn@bellsouth.net
