Jeremy,

SEEMLY ("Semmly") FAIRCLOTH was born in Laurens County, Georgia, the daughter of BENJAMIN FAIRCLOTH Junior (mother's name unknown). Benjamin was born in Edgecombe County, North Carolina and moved with other relatives from Cumberland County, NC to Screven County, Ga. in the early 1800's; later to Wilkinson Co. and Montgomery Co. He settled in what was then Decatur County in 1824--later part of Thomas County, where he died about 1833. He had at least 7 daughters, including Seemly. Decatur County in 1825 was a "new" county and Seemly's marriage was one of the first recorded there.

Would appreciate info on her descendants to preserve in the Faircloth Family National Library.

Your Cuz,
Robert Earl Woodham
