Dear Chris,

Pete's "nicknames" are what confuses anyone trying to trace his ancestors. His correct name was AMOS MARSHALL ("Pete"; or "Marsh") FAIRCLOTH, born 29 Sep., 1904 in Cumberland County. He married ELEANOR INEZ ("Leona") STEPHENS 19 Apr., 1930. They had at least four children. Pete was the son of AMOS CHESTER ("Ammie") FAIRCLOTH and MARY ELIZA BULLOCK.
