Dear Mary,
I have two Matthew Faircloths born in this time frame in my database :

(1) Matthew born 1803, in Screven / Mitchell County, Georgia. Matthew married Clarissa Sasser. Matthew's father = Thomas Faircloth born 1773 in Sampson Co., N.C. and mother = Mary Thronton born about 1770. Thomas and Mary also had a son William born 1805 in Screven County, Georgia and William married Sarah Elizabeth Sasser (sister to Matthew's wife Clarissa Sasser)(I do not know who the parents of the Sasser sisters were?).

(2) Matthew born 1837, in Wayne County, N. C. His father is unknown to me and mother was Unity (?) born about 1810-1815. Matthew married Mahala G. Tolson. (?) Faircloth and Unity also had a son William born about 1835.

Maybe one of these Matthew is the one you have a question about. If you know who (2) Matthew's father was (husband of Unity (?)) or any other information concerning these Faircloths, I sure would appreciate it.

Happy searching,
Andrew Dennis Faircloth
