  of 1366

Searching for the identity of William Faircloth who was recorded in the 1790 census of New Bern Dist. (Dobbs Co.), NC with four males over sixteen and four females. One Lt. William Faircloth, Sr. served in Shepherd's Brigade, 10th Regt., NC from Jan. 20, 1778 to June 1, 1778. Descendants of William Faircloth moved to Laurens Co., GA sometime after the Rev. War. Frederick Faircloth b. ca. 1801 is reported in the Laurens Co., GA census of 1850 with a wife and twelve children. It is believed that he descended from Lt. William Faircloth through his son, Frederick, Sr. Does anyone have further data on William Faircloth? Can share data with descendants from early 1800s. Billy G. Lee
