Susan Faircloth Brinson's parents?
My great great grandparents are Adam B. and Susan Faircloth
Brinson. They lived and died in Albany, GA and are buried in the old Faircloth Cemetery in Albany.Where is this cemetery located in Albany?Who are Susan's parents? Adam and Susan had two children...a daughter, Jane who married Edwin Boykin of Screven Co., Ga.She evidently died during childbirth and is buried with her half brothers in the Brinson, Georgia cemetery. My great grandfather, David John "D.J." Brinson was their only son and was born on the day that his mother, Susan, died.He married after the Civil War and settled in Bulloch Co. where he raised his family and he is buried there. After Susan's death, Adam married Catherine Hodges of Bulloch Co. and had three sons by her. These sons settled in Decatur Co. after the Civil War and two of them married and raised their families there.Family legend is that the third son married and moved to Texas.Brinson, Ga. is named for Adam's son, Simeon. Would appreciate any information on Susan's parents and ancestors. Thanks, Jean Brinson Ward
