My research shows Dempsey James Faircloth Sr. was
born March 8, 1825 in south Georgia, probably around Decatur County, and died April 7, 1897 in Gadson county Florida.(Source: He married Margaret Jane Martin on December 24, 1845 in Gadson county Florida. They had at least 1 son, Martin Corbet Faircloth, Bron September 24, 1896 in Hardaway, Gadson County, Florida. He married Martha Jane Bouington on May 27, 1917 in Gadson County, Florida
She was born April 13, 1892 and died in April of 1985 both in Apalachicola, Florida and is burried in Apalachicola Cemetery, Franklin County, Florida, Martin and Martha had 3 boys:Wilber Wright Faircloth, Jesse Miles Faircloth, and William DeVoe Faircloth.
