My Second great aunt was Laura M WARREN. She was married to Freeman FAIRBANKS. I believe that she is the Laura M BARTHOLOMEW that you refer to. I too found her in the 1870 census married to Charles VANHORN. Also living with them is a woman named Mariah BARTHOLOMEW. Is this why you think Laura's lastname is BARTHOLOMEW? I had assumed that Mariah BARTHOLOMEW was Charles' relative, perhaps a mother-in-law from a previous marriage. As far as I'm aware, there was no one named BARTHOLOMEW in the WARREN family.
I'm interested in knowing what you think. Please contact me directly at davefrancis@cruzio.com.
