Searching for info on Mary "Polly" Fairbanks who was born c1756 probably in the Newport, Rhode Island area. She married c1775 James MOODY who was born Wells, York Co., Maine son of Nathaniel Green Moody and Elizabeth BELCHER (whose family was from Rhode Island).
Mary "Polly" Fairbanks was probably a daughter of David Fairbanks and Elizabeth ____? They are all buried right together in the Newport Common Burial Ground which I presume to be in Newport, Rhode Island.
Mary's gravestone reads - Mary Moody widow of James died June 26, 1840 at age 84 years old.
She is buried near David and Elizabeth Fairbanks. Also James Moody's brother Samuel Moody is buried there as well.
If anyone has info about this Mary "Polly" Fairbanks MOODY and when she was married and where, and if she and James had any children and their names etc. I would be Most grateful for that info.
