My records show that John Fairbanks was the eldest son of Johnathan Fairbanks. He married Sarah Fiske on January 16, 1642. He died on September 9, 1688 and she died on Sept.26, l683. They had 9 children, Joshua, John, Sarah, Jonathan, Mary, Martha, Joseph, Hannah and Benjamin. They lived on the family homestead in Dedham Mass which was willed to John by his father, Jonathan.

I'm not sure if this is the person you seek; however, names, dates, etc., seem to match.
