Samuel Fairbank(s) was born in Lancaster,
Worcester Co., MA the son of Silas and Lydia
(Prouty) Fairbank. The family moved to Windham Co., VT (Putney). Samuel filed
intentions to marry Mary "Polly" Blood in Putney, VT on 8 Oct. 1797. They lived first
in Putney, then Brookline, then Hopewell Tp,
Muskingum Co., OH where they moved about 1814
He died there in 1853, aged 75 yrs, bur. in
Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cem. Had prob.
eleven children.
Have his ancestry back to about 1400 in Eng.
and that of Lydia Prouty also back through

further details. I descend from Samuel's
next older brother James who relocated in Erie Co., NY (Elma Township).
