Karen, there is an Elijah Wheeler Fairbanks b. Dec. 12, 1800, the son of Gamaliel Fairbanks and Eleanor Van Vredenburg apparently in NY. I bet this is it - there is a lot of confusion between years in this period because of the implementation of the new calendar. Anyhow, Gamaliel's line was Samuel V, David IV, Jeremiah III, Jonathan II and Jonathan I. It also says he was born Sing Sing NY Dec. 13, 1799, grew up in NYC became a Reverand ( Baptist) lived in Wesley Ohio and fathered 16 children with two wives. Do you want more info?
