Did you ever reach Sanna? I correspond regularly with her via email. My mother-in-law was a Fairbairn, great-granddaughter of George Fairbairn and Margaret Dinn of Edinburgh, Scotland.
George and Margaret (maybe his second wife) came to the USA, settling in Illinois. His son, William Dinn Fairbairn, married Emma Sly. one of their sons, James Fairbairn, is/was my husband's grandfather.
