Fair Family Genealogy Forum

Hello Michael,
I have posted a message to you before trying to identify where in the Fair line my family fits. I have been told for years that James G. Fair is my grandmothers uncle. My grandmothe was Esther Fair born in 1861 in Toronto to David Fair and Catherine Mitchell who were both from Ireland according to my grandmothers death certificate where she died in San Francisco, Calif. Frederick Wilson married Esther Fair in Toronto Sept. 16th, 1884. I have several letters written to Esther Fair in the 1870's on up to 1918. All these letters were written in the Toronto area. Even when she moved to San Francisco area the letters sent to her were from Toronto. The problem is there is mainly first names mentioned and they seemed to call each other brother and sister even if they were brother-in-law or sister-in-law. I recently read a letter from a Harry Graham who married a Minnie. There is mention of a Katie Fair, Charlie Fair, Robert Fair who married a Lucy Abell. There is a Lucy Fair who married a Norman Urquhart on Aug. 31, 1916. There is a May Fair, Loretta Fair, David Fair. There is a Miss Fair that lived on 99 Victoria Street in Toronto in 1882. I am hoping to make some connection. You do not have to respond if there is no connection. I have reached a dead end with David Fair and Catherine Mitchell from Ireland. I really have a feeling we are related but I cannot find the misssing link. Thank you for your time.
Diana
