Michael - I wonder if your FAHS roots are the same as the FAUNCE/FANS/FANSE/FAUNCE/
FONSE/FAHNS/FAUNTZ in my tree. I have a George FAUNTZ who came to Philadelphia in Sep 1732 - the same month and year that your FAHS came to Philly. It appears that he may have had several children who immigrated with him: John (Johannes), Jacob, Henrich (Henry), Michael, Christian, Catharine, and possibly Fanny. In the census records, church records, and vital records that I have viewed, the name was spelled all of the above ways over the years.
